Three Point Turn is a regional strategy and project consultancy founded by Lynn Whyatt and based in Chapman Valley, Western Australia.
I work with regional and purpose-led organisations to develop ideas, strengthen partnerships, and deliver projects and events that create meaningful impact. My work brings together strategic thinking, clear communication, relationship-based engagement, and detailed implementation.
I am often engaged when an organisation has an important opportunity, but limited internal capacity to move it forward. I help clarify the bigger picture, create structure around what needs to happen, and take practical responsibility for turning plans into action.

My career has taken me across countries, communities, industries, and sectors, but the common thread has always been people: understanding what matters to them, bringing different perspectives together, and helping ideas become something tangible.
Before establishing Three Point Turn in 2022, I built experience across education, tourism, regional development, community services, not-for-profit organisations, and communications.This varied background allows me to consider the organisational strategy, the people involved, the story being communicated, and the practical realities of delivery.
Through Three Point Turn, I have worked with government, regional development bodies, national organisations, not-for-profits, community service providers, tourism organisations, and regional businesses. My projects have included regional research and consultation, tourism development, stakeholder forums, community initiatives, partnership and funding strategies, purposeful events, and impact reporting.
This breadth of experience is particularly valuable when a project has several interconnected parts. I am comfortable moving between strategy and delivery, from developing the initial concept and engaging stakeholders to coordinating implementation and reporting on outcomes.
Communication and storytelling
My professional background began in language, literature, and education, and strong writing remains central to my work. Before establishing Three Point Turn, I taught secondary English, including upper-school language and literature.
This background helps me find the clear, human story within complex information, whether I am developing a case for support, writing a grant application, shaping an event concept, drawing themes from stakeholder consultation, or communicating a project’s impact.
For me, storytelling is not about embellishment. It is about helping people understand why the work matters, who it serves, and what their involvement could make possible.
